The real key to habits is decision-making – or, more accurately, the lack of decision making."
– Gretchen Rubin, author
I had the pleasure of meeting Gretchen Rubin yesterday during a talk and book signing. She's the author of several books, including her latest book just released yesterday: Better than Before: Mastering the Habits of our Everyday Lives.
She says habit requires no decision because it's already been decided. That's something I find very profound – forming good habits isn't about having to make a lot of tough decisions every day but about making a decision once and living with it.
